We are excited to offer a flexible, personalized learning experience designed to meet the diverse needs of our students. Whether students choose to learn in person, through a flex model, or fully online, our goal is to support their academic success and ensure they remain on track for graduation.
To ensure students are placed in the best learning environment for their success, the J.O. Combs Unified School District offers three learning pathways:

Pathway Placement & Transitions
All students new to CCSHS/COSS may attend daily in person or, if seeking online learning, must begin in the Flex Learning pathway. This structure provides built-in support while students adjust to the expectations of online coursework.
Students who demonstrate success—consistently logging required hours, staying on pace with coursework, and passing their classes—may request to transfer to the Fully Online Learning option at the end of the quarter.
Students who are not meeting expectations (failing to complete work, missing required hours, or struggling with engagement) may be moved from Fully Online to Flex Learning for additional support.
To ensure success and remain in compliance with Arizona education laws, all students and parents must review and sign the CCSHS/COSS Enrollment Contract.
The completed contract must be submitted to pgoolsby@jocombs.org before enrollment is finalized.
